Verse of the Day
To my family, friends, brother and sister in Christ. Today verse is from the NT book of Roman
Romans 6:14 for sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.
Read Romans 6:1-14 it talks about being dead to sin, alive to God.
This is a very powerful verse to understand it may help our walk in Christ. After one receive the gift of God. The son “Jesus” as their Lord and Savior by asking to receive it! Then being baptize becoming a new person in Christ this applies to us.
No longer will sin have authority in our lives, we live under the grace of God. What we need to understand is that when we died in sin (because of our salvation) we cannot live in sin. However, it doesn’t mean that we who are dead in sin never again are guilty of the commission of sinful act. We who are dead in sin do not live in sin as a way of life any longer. That means as Christian we are not perfect but we should strive every day to become like Jesus who was without sin. But thank God that we live under God grace, mercy, refinement and loveliness.
Christ’s grace enables us to live in a way that pleases God and expresses His transforming power to the world. Sin is no longer our boss. We live in the grace and presence of Jesus. Jesus dominion in our lives releases us from the bondage of sin. God pursues us in our restlessness, receive us in our sinfulness, hold us in our brokenness.
My prayer is that we understand that the grace of God is what we live under and our sin past, present and future are forgiven. Even though we may sin unknowingly or deliberately our sin are forgiven through repentance but we are no longer dominion of it, it our choice. Choose wisely of our action and love one another. In Jesus name
