Verse of the Day

To family, friends, brother and sister in Christ. The verse of the day comes from the NT book of Acts

Acts 2:33 Therefore being exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now see and hear.

Read Acts 2:14-39 Talks about the Holy Spirit and how it came into play.

As we see here in scripture, when Jesus died, God his Father sat Him (Jesus) at the right hand. However, Jesus told his disciples when he dies, a help mate will come in his place. As we see here, the Father promise of the Holy Spirit, and he delivered as promise. As a believer in Jesus Christ, we believe Jesus died for our sins. We asked Jesus into our life as our Lord and Savior. By doing so, we have the Holy Spirit dwelling in us. As believers, we see and hear the Holy Spirit working throughout our lives. The Holy Spirit speaks to us and show us what is wrong and right. He laid it on our heart what to do however, because of our free will we have to choose. There is always consequence for our decisions,  good and bad.

Have you ever been in a place or a situation where the Holy Spirit, in His way, tells you that you don’t belong there? This has happened to me several times over the years. Most recent was when I was driving. As I was driving down the road, a little voice spoke to me and, I totally believe, it was the Holy Spirit telling me to turn right. Now, to turn right was taken me out of my way, and it wasn’t the most direct direction. So I did, later that day I heard there was a wreck on that stretch of road about the time I was driving in that area. Now I am just saying would that have been me if I didn’t listen to the Holy Spirit. No one knows except God, but I thank God for his messenger.

My prayer is that when the Holy Spirit talks to us, we listen, and we act on it. He knows what is best for us. He will never steer us in the wrong way. I ask this in Jesus’s name.

Have a blessed and wonderful day from the Gateway to Heaven Ministries
