Jeremiah 17:7 Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord

As we see here, it shows us that as one sins, there is punishment to that sin. The Lord says cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength whose heart departs from the Lord.

I am sure I am not the only one that has put my faith in a man or men and got burned by them. The first time I trusted men instead of the Lord,  I trusted what these men told me and put my faith in them. Boy did I learn a valuable lesson from this experience. My sin was greed. My punishment was losing over half my retirement to these trusted men.

I am blessed because God allowed me to recover some from this experience, I did this by trusting the Lord, that He will resolve the matter at hand. When one trusts in the Lord, he will find happiness and joy in life. Happiness is found in trusting God because it is here one may find hope. Hope could be also rendered as confidence or trust.

My prayer is if someone out there is trusting into something other than God, that they will learn something from me. Turn back to God, for He is the only thing that will give you peace, hope and trust that you can count on.
